Air
quality or lack there of regarding the indoor environment has become
one of the hottest topics in the media over the last couple years.
Second hand cigarette smoke, carbon monoxide, lead based paint, radon
and now mold have all been identified as potential health hazards in
the home and workplace. Many companies have jumped on the bandwagon,
touted themselves as indoor air quality experts and are more than ready
to sell you products or services to solve your indoor air quality problems.
Some sell duct cleaning, air purifiers, ozone generators, humidifiers
and dehumidifiers or even elaborate heating systems with all these
things combined. Like many things a quick fix more often won’t
resolve complicated problems that are creating the indoor environmental
problems in your home. These products or services usually just temporarily
mask the real problems.
